How To Get Cannabis Delivered in Quarantine

California Governor Gavin Newsom gave the stay-at-home order on March 19. While many cannabis dispensaries are still open, a few facts remain:

  1. Dispensaries are in high demand, and going to a physical location puts you at risk of gathering closely with others.
  2. There are still many Californians who are advised not go outside at all, due to being disabled or at high risk for respiratory disease.
  3. Cannabis is a widely-used tool for managing stress as well as having fun at home during a crisis like this.

Thankfully, California is home to legal cannabis delivery, and it’s never been a better time to try it out. Since we’re friends now, I’ll even hook you up with $20 off your first delivery order!

Whether you prefer cannabis flower, dabs, vape pens, edibles, or something else, read on to learn the easiest way to get your greens during the COVID-19 lockdown.

  1. Create an account on Eaze.
  2. Upload a photo of your ID to verify age & become an approved customer.
  3. Enter your address to search the nearby cannabis menu.
  4. Order your favorites.
  5. Pay with cash when your delivery driver arrives.

All the same dispensary rules still apply here: you still have to provide ID and prove that you are over the age of 21 before ordering cannabis from the platform.

You’ll then be asked to confirm your ID again before handing over the payment, so make sure to follow social distancing guidelines when the time comes – and tip your delivery driver to say thank you!

I’ve been ordering with Eaze for years, and love that they send updates on everything via text message. The platform connects customers with delivery in almost every city in California. In my experience, Eaze drivers have been quick and professional!

Some other favorite retailers of mine that deliver are Mankind and March & Ash here in San Diego, and Caliva servicing the Bay Area, OC and LA.

The Best Pain-Relieving Cannabis Topicals On The Market Right Now

Hey friends it’s me. Took a big long break from the blog (again 🙄) – but keeping up with it is one of my resolutions for the new year!

II thought I’d go back to my roots and do a post on some totally rad topical products I’ve been using to combat chronic pain over the last few months.

If you’re like me, you entertain all the newfound aches and pains of adulthood, as well as some old flames, like chronic pain and injuries from sports and accidents. No matter what’s acting up – whether it’s my knees, lower back, shoulder, wrists, or feet – I am looking for three things from any topical:

  • Close-to-complete numbing of pain within 15 minutes;
  • Pleasant and convenient application experience;
  • Discreet look and smell so it’s not obvious I have weed cream ALL over me.

The following are my three latest finds – in alphabetical order! I hope you enjoy reading about, browsing and maybe even trying one of these to help you crush your pain.

Hell, maybe you can even recommend one to your parent, grandparent, or other loved one struggling with pains of their own.

All of these products contain active ingredients derived from cannabis or hemp – which I am a huge advocate for. New here? Read my intro to cannabis topicals first to learn more about why you should ditch the IcyHot for something that actually works.

Artemis VITALITY CBD-Infused Salve

CBD-infused topicals provide a special soothing feeling to your skin. I was once skeptical that topical CBD could actually help relieve muscle pain beneath the skin’s surface, but now I see that with the right supporting ingredients, it is possible.

The VITALITY Salve by Artemis is one of the best CBD topicals I have tried. It has totally natural ingredients, starts working on my pain in about 15 minutes, and is good for skin irritations, too.

Arnica is an ancient plant medicine that has been used in pain relievers for years. It penetrates the skin to ease inflammation, swelling, pain, and even bruising. It gives this salve the power it needs to truly get in there and relieve pain.

I always put this on right after I get a bruise! That being said, it’s also excellent on the skin and I have used it for cuts, scratches, and even to chill sunburns. It has a spicy essential oil aroma which is actually pretty nice.

The CBD in this salve is hemp-based, so you can easily buy it online at IAmArtemis.com to support this heart-centered San Diego brand.

Dr. Kerklaan Natural Pain Cream

I’ve been looking for a reliable new THC topical ever since the California regulations changed. Luckily, a friend left this one in my car, and it has proved to be the first major come-up of 2019.

Dr. Kerklaan’s pain cream was formulated by – you guessed it – doctors. That means it’s effective and badass.

All About Marijuana-Infused Bath Soaks

This is gonna sound harsh, but if you haven’t used cannabis-infused products in your bathtub yet, then my friend, you are not truly living.

The main thing to note here, I believe, is that these marijuana-infused bath soaks will not cause you to trip a drug test for your job. THC from topical products does not enter the bloodstream or the liver! You can now enjoy all of the best medicinal effects, without even putting the cannabis in your body. If that’s not amazing, I don’t know what is.

Athletes (and regular people) have long used Epsom salts in a hot bath to soothe sore muscles and reduce swelling from injuries. Now, some creators are infusing these salts with essential oils and concentrated cannabis oil in order to provide a relaxing and pain-relieving experience.

Trust me when I say that after taking your first weed bath, you’ll probably never go back to regular Epsom salts ever again!

I only began using THC-infused salts when I started receiving them as product review samples, and now I’m budgeting them into a regular item on my cannabis self-care shopping list.

Rubs, salves and lotions are great for topical treatment, but something about submerging in the hot water just makes it feel SO much more effective. Bring your favorite vape pen, a candle, and maybe even a glass of wine into the mix. Rig up your Netflix on a laptop or tablet, and you’re ready for the best “night in” of your life.

Oh yeah, and don’t forget to bring your Yoga Toes in the tub with you. Stretching those legs and toes in the hot water is a godsend for those times you struggle with achy feet or post-leg-day soreness.

So far, I’ve tried two brands of cannabis bath soaks, and would love to share with you my thoughts on each for those who might be interested in trying it out.
